Damit Entwicklungshilfe wirksam ist, muss es Hilfsempfängern möglich sein, Rechenschaft von Projektmanagern einzufordern und Rückmeldung zur empfangenen Hilfe zu geben. Moderne Technologie kann einen wichtigen Beitrag zu einem verbesserten Informationsfluss leisten.

In Kooperation mit StudentInnen aus Afrika und Asien startet OpenAid in 2012 ein Pilotprojekt zu "Public Online Monitoring".

Transparency Campaign

Transparenz is zentral für Feedback und Wirksamkeit in der Entwicklungshilfe. OpenAid setzt sich ein für die Transparenz deutscher Entwicklungshilfeorganisationen.

In unserer Arbeit fordern wir vor allem die Umsetzung des Datenstandards der International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI) durch die Bundesregierung und durch nichtstaatliche Organisationen.

Transparency Network

OpenAid verfolgt das Ziel ein Netzwerk aufzubauen, um zusammen mit anderen Organisationen aus dem In- und Ausland die Förderung von open data und Transparenz in der Entwicklungshilfe voranzutreiben.

Wichtige Partner sind für uns unter anderem die OKFN, Transparency International Deutschland und aidinfo (UK). OpenAid ist u.a. Mitglied von CIVICUS, Mehr Demokratie und VEN.

Make aid transparent campaign present over 5000 signatures to OECD
Yesterday Karin Christiansen and Tony Tujan from the Reality of Aid network presented the petition of the global "Make Aid Transparent" Campaign to the OECD.
