Berlin, Heinrich Böll Stiftung Open Data meets Development Cooperation. The development community of Switzerland, Austria and Germany is invited to explore the relevance of open data in development aid. Academics and practitioners will talk about aid transparency in the aid effectiveness debate and the implementation of the International Aid Transparency Initiative (IATI). Concrete open data examples from development cooperation and from other public sectors will illustrate the use of open data for increased efficiency, reduced corruption and greater accountability. Confirmed speakers include Peter Eigen (founder of TI and EITI), Jörg Faust (DIE) and Ronald Siebes (Dutch Ministry of Foreign Affairs).
