OpenAid is a non-governmental, non-profit organisation registered with the German register for associations: Registergericht Hannover VR 201201.
Date of creation: 08.11.2009
Directorate: Claudia Schwegmann (Chair), Rihna Joshi (Vice Chair), Björn Johansson (Treasurer).
In 2011 we have received outside funding for the organisation of three Open Aid Data Events in Paris, Prague and Berlin (www.openaiddata.de) from aidinfo, ONE, Transparency International, Oxfam and the EPSI Platform. The annual reports for 2011 including financial details will be available online soon. Claudia Schwegmann is also frequently undertaking transparency work on a consultancy basis for aidinfo (UK).
Memberships: CIVICUS, the international network of civil society organisations, Mehr Demokratie and VEN.
