AidData is an initiative to build a comprehensive and easy accessible database of project-level development aid information including financial data, decriptive information and project documents. Researchers from the College of William and Mary, the Brigham Young University, and the Development Gateway Foundation collaborated to build this database.
Project-Level Aid (PLAID) is an initiative of the institute for the theory and practice of international relations at the College of William and Mary. Its objective is to provide descriptive information on individual aid projects. In this effort PLAID collaborate with the Brigham Young University, the Development Gateway to form AidData, a comprehensive development finance portal that combines the breadth and depth of the PLAID database with the timeliness and accessibility of the Accessible Information on Development Activities (AiDA) project.
